My job is to help people enjoy every moment of their event, keep the day flowing naturally, and guide each detail so nothing distracts from what matters most.
The way I approach events comes from special experiences that shaped my perspective and the moments that stay with me forever. That vision drives everything 22 Weddings & Events does, from creative details to moments of connection.
Sadly, Brad passed away later that year. A family member comforted me by saying, “You gave them five minutes of wonderful, and that is better than a lifetime of okay.” That moment stayed with me. I launched 22 Weddings & Events as a side hustle in 2016 and officially went full-time in 2022. Since then, we’ve planned well over a hundred events, from weddings and social gatherings to corporate and non-profit events, and we’re ready for a hundred more.
During my time there, I met Brad and Gabby. Brad had stomach cancer and they weren’t able to have the wedding they dreamed of before treatment started. What began as a fun idea turned into a proper ceremony and reception, and it sparked my love for wedding planning.
One of these jobs was as an Event & Program Manager at a free lodging facility for cancer patients and their families.
His face begs to be photographed, but more importantly, he represents what 22 Weddings & Events stands for. Carlton lives in the moment, finds joy in the little things, and loves unconditionally. That’s exactly what I hope every couple or client experiences on their big day.
